I personally love rainy days and I feel I live in the perfect place for it! Rainy day fun activities for me involve a warm cup of cocoa and a comfy couch. It rains more than it suns where I live and I personally adore it. Rainy days provide such a cozy and at ease feeling for me, and when it rains the world just seems to be a more peaceful place .
That is, until I had kids.
Soon that comfortable , at ease feeling I like so much turned to dispair and fear as I watch my three sons trampling through our house demolishing anything in their way. How I pray they could see what I see and curl up on the chair with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. But alas, I know they’ll ever get there.
In my hopelessness to discover any peace when my children are trapped inside all day when it rains, one night , (worn out) I started creating a list of activities my sons would enjoy that could safely be done indoors. I was a bit disbelieving that all of my loving parenting ideas would hold their attention at all, but to my pleasant surprise they did!
If you are looking for positive situations where children can achieve happiness, enjoy the indoors while saving your house and sanity, check these out!
